Critical thinking means constantly having to evaluate every piece of information that you receive.
No matter what your position, your employer will value your ability to think critically and solve problems, and you will value the work you do if you are allowed to use those skills to improve yourself and your environment.
Someone who thinks critically takes information at its face value.
Higher-order thinking skills are part of critical thinking because they involve breaking information apart, creating something new from the information, and assessing the information for reliability or usefulness.
To improve your analytical thinking skills, practice with basic logic problems that require you to break apart the problem and examine the different parts to arrive at an answer.
